Unbelievable Story

I was at my local Target yesterday, in the electronics section (every time I go to a store now with such a section I make sure they don't have any Wii Nunchucks... I've had a Wii since launch day but I need a second Nunchuck.  I'm also looking to replace my launch day silver Nintendo DS with a Coral Pink DS Lite).  The friendly Target employee asked me if I needed any help.  I said I was looking for a Nunchuck and a Pink DS Lite.  He said sorry, that they were sold out of both- that the moment they get any Wii accessories or DS Lites in stock, they sell out.  I was like, well, okay, I totally understand (I've been hearing this story for months).  Then he said this:  ''Hey, do you want a PS3?''  I blink.  I look down at the locked case and sure enough, two $600 systems are sitting right there.  He tells me they have had those two systems for two weeks.  I hesitated, until I remembered that by the time I got some games and accessories, I would have spent as much money as I did on tuition for a college course this semester.  I said no thanks and walked away.  I dunno what's more unbelievable... that those PS3's were there two weeks or that I didn't buy one...Unbelievable Story

All the stores in Norway is loaded with Nunchuks Wiimotes, Classics and Lites, they practicly throw them after you.

As for the PS3 though, that doesn't even exist.

There are 4 PS3s at my local gamestop that have been sitting there since launch day. I was browsing for DVDs the other day and 3 different people came in asking if there were any Wii's for sale.

From what I have heard anecdotally theWii seems to be huge in America, Japan, UK, France and Germany. The rest of the world it just seems to be doing well

My Story:

If you asked Sony, they would say you or they are lieing. They were in an interview with EGM once and EGM asked what's with all the pile-ups. Sony went on to say that there was no such thing and that they would pay EGM $1,200 if they could find a store with PS3s in stock. EGM called 18 stores and 9 of them had PS3s. Sony called EGM liars, and then said that all those stores were also lieing.
i don't believe that.
Actually... it's quite believeable... we've had PS3's for weeks where I work... but I think we are down to 1 right now. 60gb version.

The DS gets sold out too? Seems a bit surprising to me, but still believable.
