Well I must say all my counterparts are correct in saying xbox live pwns the PSN. I am downloading a 458 meg demo of motorstorm, and its been 40 minutes and Im at 30 percent. IN that time, I downloaded crackdown, Graw 2, and Nba Street. I have a 30 mb connection, so dont say its my connection. This isnt even close, very dissapointed in PSN so far. I am trying to be very open minded in my evaluation of the PS3, and if you read another one of my threads I said that Sony has a clear cut advantage in the sound area of the system. The online pales in comparision to live!!!!A true analysis of PSN compared to Xbox ...
30mb connection? Wow.A true analysis of PSN compared to Xbox ...
FIOS, 30mb connections are gonna be outdated in the future. I work for Verizon, know all about whats to come via bandwidth.
30mb connection? Wow.
i have 1.5 mbps and it's considered high speed. comcast offers the fastest available today at 8 mbps. im just saying.
Fios offers 50mb as their top rate of service in NY. IPTV to fully function supposedly requires a 30mb connection. Trust me, you wanna talk bandwidth ill be here all day and talk....
actually verizon FIOS offers the fastest at 30mb, soon to be upgraded to 100mb per sec. Check it out on their website.

IPTV :o Never knew that existed..

Comcasts inferstructure is probably coax at some point, the beauty of Fios is that it is Fiber right to the side of your house. Limitless potential. Too bad Verizon didnt go with the GPON protocol, because if they did, they could offer twice the speed they are offering right now.

Yeah I used to have 8mb when I lived near Philly but now i live in the country where I can only get 56k:cry:
actually verizon FIOS offers the fastest at 30mb, soon to be upgraded to 100mb per sec. Check it out on their website.
that is pointless. you can change download speeds but the upload speeds are the same . and man i guess that explains why verizon wants $70 a month.

I installed a 50mb pipe to a customer so I know they have it.

I agree with you there, but in time, the internet and servers will be uploading a ton more bandwidth than they are now.
its more expensive then normal high speed tho right?
30mb connection? Wow.
Yeah.. i only have 1MB
Comparable to cable in NY, and it has the triple play where phone video and data can be bundled for a pretty good price. Fios is a no brainer, im not just saying that either, have done alot of research.

well I should say I have 30mb download 5 upload. The real way to rate bandwidth is throughput and thats up and down speeds. The reason im at 40 percent on this motorstorm demo is because the server is congested and im getting like a 128k pipe uploaded to me, so my throughput really is 128k. You are always as slow as your slowest component.

Well unfortunately in NY Cablevision is way overpriced, Im hoping Fios undershoots them because Fios is definitely the better service on all three accounts, phone, data, and video.

not to piggyback, but hence, this is why xbox live is much better than PSN. PSN just doesnt have the inferstructure put in place that MS does. They outsource some, others they do themselves, whereas MS controls everything, fixes everything, and has more servers.
30 mb?? Wow, I only have 3mb
