Aside from the obvious answer, I want to know the INFLUENCE or the ADVANTAGE between the two in a real world scenario and not just technicalities. Why do cows and sheep make such a big deal between the two when in reality the results of a exclusive or console exclusive are virtually the same to Xbox 360. Sure they mean different things, but Microsoft gains the same benefits. In other words, Bioshock helps the 360 almost the same way a complete exclusive because the high-end PC fanbase is small compared to the nearly hundred million console gamers.Sure a cow can win an arguement on technicalities because the ''game'' is available on another platform. But how stupid do you sound in a PS3 vs 360 arguement and you say'' PS3 is better because I can get this game on a NON-SONY platform'' What is the difference between a console ...
The PC is not a MS System, becuase MS does not make any hardware....
and Im pretty sure MS makes no money of PC games, which are un-licenced....
and The PC fanbase is still very large, Europe is entirelly PC gamers...What is the difference between a console ...

I can not even tell you the amount of time I see Germen PC gamers....
and Scandonavians...
But you have no way of proving how much it helps or hurts other than quite simply ''You dont need a 360 to play this game.''I find your (completely unsubstantiated) claim of ''high-end PC gaming'' to be irrelevant when MS themselves mentioned a PC gaming market of 200 million. If anything, i'd say with numbers like those, it makes the 15 million Xbox 360's sold seem insignificant and the PS3 completely irrelevant.True, the press release didnt mention anything about the specs, but its talking about the market Games for Windows which is comprised of mostly high-end games like Crysis and Bioshock (not an exclsuvie title! See, i can admit to it not being exclusive!).So the reality is, a PC-360 title is simply another reason to not get a 360. Arent most of the System Wars argument based around getting or not getting a system due to its exclusives?

In reality it doesn't help the Cows or Sheep from a gaming library standpoint since those game are not coming to their console. If you won't to counteract their arguements when they hide behind the PC, just note that they must have converted to being a Hermit, because thats the real arguement.
I posted this in another thread but it's relevance holds:
My PC is not for gaming. I would rather the play the ''exclusives'' on my 360.
I'm not upgrading a PC every 6 months to handle the latest games. Don't get me wrong, I play WoW, CS and some other games on my PC but those games run on old hardware.
I bought Oblivion for the PC and that was a joke, traded in and bought the 360 version (missing the mods). Learnt my lesson, maybe in a few years when I buy a new PC I'll get some of the 360/PC Exclusives for the PC.
As far the exclusive argument. I think they should count as 360 exclusives, they're not on any other console. In the UK PC's are basically glorified word processors. No amount of saying ''well you can upgrade the...'' will ever work. You can lead the horse to water but you can't make it drink. The average person has trouble connecting a printer; upgrading RAM, Cards, Drivers is way beyond the average PC users technical abilities. (If they tried without reaching for the phone to call me they would realise how easy it is but alas no.. tech support sigh). I play my 360 on my CRT monitor through VGA sitting on my couch, I play my PC through my VGA monitor sitting on my couch. No difference there. The 360, to me, is more fun for local multiplayer and if there are any 360/PC games that have that option the 360 wins hands down.
When GTA was only on the PC and PS it was a PS exclusive... when Halo is on the PC and the Xbox it's still an Xbox exclusive.
Claiming otherwise is nonsene. Yes the PC /can/ be used as a 'gaming platform', but it's /not/ a gaming platform.
I havent upgraded my PC in 2 years...Still works fine.
You pay $ for XBl, ill just pay for the occasional upgrades....

I paid £30 for 1 year XBL Gold.
I could just about buy a keyboard and mouse with £30.
Upgrading PC's in the UK is expensive, really expensive.

Well in terms of PC VS X360, when I signed up for the R2 beta, they asked me which platformes I owned. There were 4 listed. Wii,PS3,X360,PC. I have all of course but the fact that they separate the 360 and PC is enough to tell me that a PC version affects the 360s sales or w/e.
Why are so many threads from February 2007 being bumped today?
Yes the PC /can/ be used as a 'gaming platform', but it's /not/ a gaming platform.
Tell me why insomniac lists it as one then? :S, also why are some games PC only if it isn't a gaming platform? :S
Nothing because Casey said their is no such thing as a Console Exclusive in System Wars. But what people say a Console Exclusive is if it was on like the 360 and PC but not on anyother console it is considered a Console Exclusive because PC isn't considered a Console. But I think their is no such thing as a Console Exclusive because if it is on another system it is no longer Exclusive it is automatically Multiplat.
